Chas began his pursuit of knowledge in the field of fitness while attending art school in Phoenix Arizona. He became addicted to lifting weights and researched new techniques and exercises to try amongst friends. Upon graduating with his bachelors of art in computer animation, Chas moved back home to the Berkshires to continue his education in Health and Fitness. Berkshire Community College became Chas' home away from home, training and studying the science and art of personal training. He branched off of the college to study Strength and Conditioning on his own. Once passing the exam he began training various sports teams amongst Berkshire County.
When Fitness Together in Boston sought to hire him, he moved to the Eastern side of the state. At Fitness Together, Chas became a studio manager as well as trained over 200 clients and averaged 50 sessions per week. He also redesigned the NASM phases, used by Fitness Together, to create a more efficient training protocol that would better assist reaching the clients' goals.
Chas brings a wide variety of training to PBP. He is experienced with working with a high variety of clients, among them athletes and those new to exercise.
He has worked with a wide range of ages from 15 to 86, all with separate goals from aesthetics to pain free living and function. Chas's love for personal training is shown in his workouts, often times pushing the limits of his clients strength. But what emerges from his sessions are not only exhaustion and tenacity, but education. Chas enjoys teaching these lessons of wellness to create a higher understanding of fitness. This in combination with a stretching regimen, proper nutrition and cardio respiratory training will establish an effective long term healthy lifestyle. His passion for this profession is clearly evident in his writings. Chas has been researching multiple styles to training and is working on developing his own techniques to training, he is often reading and writing in his spare time. Taken from the First Chinese medicine text, Chas perceives himself as a doctor, one who which prevents disease rather than dealing with it following the onset.
